The Sword & Shield era ended where it began, with Zacian and Zamazenta. Crown Zenith, released on January 20, 2023, is the era's final special set and a greatest-hits collection, with the 70-card Galarian Gallery subset packed with full-scene art and gold cards. Here's the collector's guide: the dates, the chase cards and what came in every product.
Crown Zenith at a Glance
- Release date: January 20, 2023
- Set type: special expansion, so there's no booster box
- Main set: 159 cards plus a secret rare
- Galarian Gallery: a 70-card subset of special-art cards
- Headliners: Zacian VSTAR and Zamazenta VSTAR in their Crowned forms
The Galarian Gallery
The Galarian Gallery works like the Trainer Gallery, but bigger: 70 cards of full-scene illustrations, Trainer art and gold VSTARs, numbered separately with a GG prefix. It's where nearly all of the set's chase cards live, and it makes Crown Zenith one of the best binder sets of the era.
The Chase Cards
Gold VSTARs. The gold Giratina VSTAR and Arceus VSTAR sit at the top of the Galarian Gallery.
Galarian Gallery alt arts. Full-scene Pokémon V and VSTAR illustrations, including fan favorites from across the era.
Galarian Gallery Trainers. Pokémon shown with their Trainers, in the style of the Trainer Gallery.
Crowned Zacian and Zamazenta. Full art and gold versions of the box legendaries.

Tips for Collectors
- Keep the Galarian Gallery separate. GG cards have their own numbering, so a dedicated binder page makes them easier to track.
- Check sold listings. Gold card prices vary a lot with condition, so compare recent eBay sold listings.
- Collect all three pins. The Galar starter pin blisters make a nice display set.
